Developed by Ortofon in close collaboration with SWS Audio GmbH, the GT cartridge, short for 'Great and Tough,' is built on the robust foundation of the well-known Ortofon Series 500 design. It's designed for standard half-inch mounting and features a sleek black housing with white printing.
The GT cartridge incorporates highly reliable components from the Scratch series, ensuring durability and reliability. With an impressive output of 8 mV and improved frequency response, it delivers higher resolution and enhanced sound quality.
For DJs, especially those into scratching and back-cueing, tracking ability is crucial. While increasing tracking force may seem like a quick fix, it's not always effective. Excessive antiskating adjustment can exacerbate skating issues during back-cueing. As a rule of thumb, never use more than half of the normal antiskating setting relative to the tracking force.
To enhance the GT's durability even further, we've reinforced the cantilever's rubber suspension to withstand drops and accidental finger touches.
