Replacement pink stylus for Ortofon CC Scratch and OM Scratch cartridges. As implied by the name, the Scratch is intended especially for the disciplines of scratch and back-cueing. It is made of a fluorescent neon-red material with the intention it becoming highly apparent in spotlight and luminous in ultraviolet light. For DJs that require increased tracking ability, the Scratch is up to the task.
Featuring a reinforced rubber suspension, DJs need not worry about compromising sound quality and stylus life when working with higher tracking forces. With solid bass reproduction and extended highs, the Scratch is great for any style, providing energetic, in-your-face sound.

Compatible with the
Ortofon Scratch 1st-generation cartridge.
What does "1st-generation cartridge" mean? In early 2018, Ortofon launched their next-generation Concorde MkII cartridge series:
MIX ,
DJ ,
CLUB ,
SCRATCH and
DIGITAL . Though they may look similar to older models at first glance, the newer model cartridge bodies have been broadened.
Wait! So there's a 1st-generation SCRATCH and a 2nd-generation SCRATCH? Yes, very confusing we know. This stylus is for the 1st-generation
Ortofon Scratch , which had an all-pink body and said the word "Scratch" on the top of the stylus.
The newer Concorde MkII SCRATCH has an all-white body with black accents and has an emblem of a hand working a turntable on the top of the stylus.
Can I use this stylus with a newer 2nd-generation Ortofon MkII cartridge? No. Concorde MkI and Concorde MkII styli are not interchangeable and will not even fit physically.
Can I use this stylus with a different 1st-generation model Ortofon cartridge? Physically, each series of DJ styli for 1st-gen Concorde will fit on alternate 1st-gen cartridge bodies. However, these combinations are not supported by Ortofon, as each cartridge series is designed with a synergistic combination in mind - that is, each stylus is made to compliment the magnet and coil configuration of each cartridge body. For instance, using a SCRATCH stylus with a NIGHTCLUB cartridge body will not provide the full benefit of either product, and might even provide undesired results, including (but not limited to) differences in output, unbalanced sound reproduction.
