The Bose Acoustic Wave Cannon System II is a high performance bass loudspeaker designed with a unique Acoustic
Wave enclosure that provides extended bandwidth bass reinforcement.
FEATURES:• 12" Woofer.
• Acoustic Wave Speaker Technology
• High-power
• Unique Geometry
• OC-1 Option Card
Purer sound and design flexibility: The pure, deep bass generated by Acoustic Wave technology, coupled with the exceptionally low crossover frequency, make the sound from the AWCS II very difficult to localize and acoustically filters out
distortion. This allows the AWCS II to be physically separate from the mid-high loudspeakers while still maintaining the sound image, increasing both speaker placement flexibility and ease of installation.
Clarity, power, and reliability: The new, advanced design 12" woofer gives the AWCS II high acoustic output with minimal distortion from 25 Hz to 125 Hz. Mechanical and electrical durability are enhanced by the 12" woofer's high-temperature 4"voice coil, proprietary high-strength spider, rubber surround, and
cast aluminum basket.
Ease of installation: The AWCS II's distinctive barrel shape allows it to be nested against large surfaces such as walls, floors and ceilings, allowing the designer to take advantage of acoustic bass loading techniques. Less space is required than with large, heavy conventional box-type bass enclosures. In addition, the
AWCS II has molded-in features that make installation of flown or floor-standing, single or multiple-Cannon arrays easy. Standard hardware or Bose accessory kits may be used.
Simple, economic systems control electronics: The installation of the OC-1 Option Card allows any Bose system controller 402C, 502C (Panaray), or 802C II to be configured for operation with the AWCS II. Now, 402/Cannon,
502A/Cannon, and 802/Cannon systems can all be designed and installed with only a single system controller.
